ChristenUnie wil OZB compensatie voor ondernemers.

Tijdens de raadsvergadering van donderdag 28 september heeft de ChristenUnie opnieuw aangegeven dat we een overgangsregeling willen voor ondernemers. Daarmee neemt de ChristenUnie een voorschot op de discussie over de OZB die straks door de nieuwe gemeenteraad van Midden-Groningen moet worden genomen.

Harmonisatie zou vooral ondernemers in Slochteren raken.

In de harmonisatie zijn de verschillende tarieven van de gemeenten Hoogezand-Sappemeer, Slochteren en Menterwolde gelijk getrokken voor rioolheffing en de afvalstoffenheffing. Om de totale lokale lasten te kennen is ook de OZB doorgerekend. De categorie OZB bedrijven zou te maken krijgen met een grote stijging omdat de lasten voor bedrijven in Slochteren nu tot de laagste in de provincie Groningen behoren.

Meerstad.

Eerder is er bij de overdracht van het Meerstad gebied gekozen voor een overgangsregeling zodat bedrijven geleidelijk toegroeien naar het nieuwe tarief. Omdat we dat bij Meerstad wel van de stad Groningen hebben gevraagd vindt de ChristenUnie het niet meer dat normaal om dat ook voor de eigen ondernemers te doen.

Juist nu het economisch weer wat beter gaat en bedrijven en ZZP-ers weer meer werk hebben is een extra stijging van de lokale lasten die voor een gemiddeld bedrijf op 900 euro uit zullen komen ongewenst.

Wethouder Jan Jakob Boersma heeft de opmerkingen van de ChristenUnie goed begrepen en beloofd om die mee te nemen in de voorbereiding van de OZB tarieven die in januari 2018 door de gemeenteraad van Midden-Groningen worden vastgesteld. Ook gaat hij binnenkort in gesprek met de LTO.
